What happens after a number is purchased
- The number is provisioned with its available voice and messaging capabilities.
- Messaging registration and number readiness are tracked separately.
- The phone-number page displays current availability and applicable limits.
- Provider or compliance restrictions can delay production use.
What the phone-number page shows
Do not assume that purchasing a number makes unrestricted production traffic available immediately. Follow the status and limits shown in Leadping.
TrustedSetup and 10DLC
These are different controls:
A number may be in setup while messaging registration is still under review. Outbound SMS requires the applicable registration and an SMS-enabled number.
Charges
TrustedSetup is a one-time charge for each purchased number. Number rental is a separate recurring charge; calls, messages, leads, carrier applications, and provider charges are billed separately where applicable. The setup review shows the exact amount before the first number is purchased. Additional numbers show their price before confirmation. Before production use
- Open Phone numbers and select the number.
- Review registration, availability, limits, and any required actions.
- Confirm the number is enabled for the intended channel.
- Keep initial traffic within the displayed limits.
- Investigate delivery failures, opt-outs, failed calls, or restrictions before increasing volume.
